Gunman hunted after shots fired at Doncaster house

A police hunt is under way for a gunman who fired shots at a house in Doncaster.

Downstairs windows of a house in Princess Avenue, Stainforth, were damaged in the gun attack on Friday night.

Detectives said nobody was injured in the 10.05pm incident, which is being treated as a targeted attack.

DC Joanna Vine said: "Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident, which we are treating as targeted.

"Since it was reported to us we’ve been carrying out extensive enquiries to identify those responsible but we’re still keen to hear from anyone who has not yet come forward with information."

She said detectives want to trace a silver car seen driving away from the area shortly after the incident.

A 28-year-old Doncaster man who was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence has been bailed.
