After the sell-out success of last year’s event, it is back by popular demand.
Giving children the opportunity to step into the pages of the world famous children’s book, The Gruffalo Experience is a fun and interactive journey into the deep dark wood where there will be the chance to meet the much-loved characters, including The Gruffalo himself.
The Gruffalo summer season opens on July 18 and it will run until the end of August.
The event, described as an ‘edutainment’ experience, is brought to you by Unit 10 Eventive and MacMillan Publishing.
Last year tickets for the event sold out in just three weeks, so organisers are encouraging parents to hurry and to pre-book tickets early to avoid disappointment.
Tickets are available from www.meadowhall.co.uk/gruffalo website and a special early bird ticket price offer is running until July 17.
“His eyes are orange, his tongue is black; He has purple prickles all over his back and you could be coming face to face with him this summer”, said a spokesman for the organisers.
“Embark on a fun and interactive journey into the deep dark wood to meet the Gruffalo and other characters from the world famous children’s picture book.
“Your ‘Gruffalo Guide’ will lead you in the footsteps of mouse, as if you’ve stepped on to the pages of the much-loved picture book, complete with trees, woodland sounds, a fox’s den and its own log pile house.
“During the 35-40 minute experience you’ll find out where the woodland creatures live and what they like to eat!
“The Gruffalo himself will make an exciting appearance.”
The event runs from July 18 to August 31 in The Oasis Courtyard.
