Grimm's charitable appeal for support

A South Yorkshire charity is seeking local businesses to sponsor their community literacy events.

Youth literacy charity Grimm & Co, based in Rotherham, has issued an appeal for companies and organisations to make a donation to enable them to run a story-making workshop in a local school. The appeal comes ahead of Grimm’s Glorious Grand Gala, which will be held on September 10, to celebrate local children and their writing.

Founder Deborah Bullivant said: “Grimm & Co use the joyful discovery of stories to reach children and engage them in exciting ways, championing the writer in every child and helping them to believe in themselves. Our aim is to ensure they no longer see writing as a barrier but instead use it as a tool - for resilience, creativity and pleasure.”

“The ethos of the charity is ‘changing lives, one story at a time,’ and we would love as many local people and companies to be involved in this, by getting involved in one of our sponsorship packages or by attending the gala next month.”
