They claim to help motorists by cutting 1p off fuel but at the same time bus fares could increase by 10 per cent and services slashed by a tenth as a result of government cuts to funding for concessionary fares and the Bus Service Operators Grant.
Nearly 40 per cent of Sheffielders have no access to a car and rely on public transport. What’s the Budget done for them? How does it help Sheffield to get people out of their cars and reduce congestion? How does it help the city to cut its pollution levels?
