Greed is good Thatcher
Seems rather strange that every Labour-run council in the land do the Tories’ bidding on austerity so meekly without even a whimper.
Something expected from the ‘vermin’ but never from Labour?

Hide AdIt’s also nice to see that Barnsley MBC, in cahoots with SYPTE, have saved around £2 million by continuing to carry out Tory austerity policy in halving, by underspending, on OAPs’ travel concessions on South Yorkshire trains.
Where’s the £2 million saving of OAP’s concessions going?
Definitely not back to help pensioners with travel we are informed.
No doubt more acknowledgments from “call me Dave” will be forthcoming for all those so-called local Labour councillors who put their hands up in voting for and continuing to vote for Tory austerity that hits the most vulnerable, while still maintaining their over-generous allowances.
It’s no good saying they should be ashamed, simply because they wouldn’t understand what the word meant.
