GROUPS providing youth activities can bid for a share of a £250,000 fund.
The funding is available from Derbyshire County Council’s Youth Action Grant Scheme offers, which offers grants of up to £1,000 to benefit projects for young people aged 13 to 19 years, or up to 24 years if they have disabilities.
Charities, community and voluntary groups, social enterprises and not-for-profit groups are eligible to bid for the money.
Coun Barry Lewis, Derbyshire County Council’s cabinet member for young people, said: “We’re supporting local groups to boost opportunities for young people.”
