GRANGEWOOD DEATH: Darren Broadbent died of stab wound, court hears

Jaiden Browne-Evans, 18, of Beaver Hill Road, Sheffield, appeared in the dock at Chesterfield magistrates’ court this morning charged with the murder of 35-year-old Darren Broadbent.

Mr Browne-Evans was remanded in custody and will next appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday.

Susan Shaw, 44, of Birchwood Crescent, Chesterfield, also appeared at the magistrates’ court charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

She was remanded in custody and will next appear at Derby Crown Court in September.

Mr Broadbent’s body was discovered in a flat at Thorntree Court in Grangewood on Monday.

The court heard he died as a result of a stab wound.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.
