A charity golf day organised by Abbeydale Rotary Club raised £4,000 for Whirlow Hall Farm Trust in Sheffield.
The cash will help enable 10,000 children, many from disadvantaged backgrounds, visit the farm this year for educational visits.
President of the Abbeydale Rotary Club, Ray Mellor, said: “We are delighted to show our continued support for Whirlow Hall Farm Trust and help fund the essential educational projects they undertake for children and young people, particularly from disadvantaged urban backgrounds”.
Whirlow Hall Farm Trust’s Chief Executive, Ben Davies, said: “We want Whirlow to be a place that everyone, including less well-off schools, groups, families and individuals, can visit.
“Raising the funds needed to maintain our work with youngsters and develop facilities for children with special needs is increasingly difficult – particularly as we are a working farm with historical buildings and a variety of equipment to maintain.
“We provide a unique experience and you really can see the impact that has on children that may otherwise not get to spend time in the countryside.
“We are so grateful that Abbeydale Rotary Club made us their nominated charity.”
