Go outside to forage for fungi

Have your say

WILDLIFE experts will lead an exploration of the fascinating world of fungi.

Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trusts are hosting the Fungal Foray at Sheffield’s Fox Hagg nature reserve.

The event invites members of the public to search for variations of the organisms in the area.

Participants will be given a special spotter sheet, where they can tick the different types they come across, clinging to tree stumps, among leaves and growing in the grass, off their list.

The event takes place on Wednesday from 1pm until 3pm. Anyone who wants to take part is asked to meet at the Lodge Lane car park shortly before the start time.

Fungal Foray is free but booking is advised.
