They donned their best outfits to attend the final event, a Hollywood-style premiere to watch their films on the big screen.

Assistant headteacher Leigh Rimmer said the project was helped by A Tale Unfolds, an organisation which provides literacy filmmaking resources.

"Since May, the children have developed the whole story themselves, creating characters, writing scripts, filming, directing and editing so each class' is quite different.

"It has really helped with their writing and speaking and listening skills during the course of the half-term."
