Glimpse into the past at Cannon Hall

PERIOD costume experts Century Adventures make a welcome return to Cannon Hall on Friday with another of their witty historic costume-inspired shows.

Elizabeth Gaskell and Charles Dickens fans will enjoy the glimpse into the 1830s - a neglected corner of fashion history that is bursting with outrageous gigot sleeves, Apollo knots and artificial padding of every kind.

Tickets are available now priced 12 or 10 for Friends of Cannon Hall and include refreshments. Doors open at 7pm and the performance starts at 7.30pm.

Century Adventures will be back at the Hall on December 14 with Jane Austen’s Christmas, which includes supper in the atmospheric Servants’ Hall. Tickets cost 18, 16 for Friends of Cannon Hall. Pre-booking is essential.
