Shaniur chased the robbers down the street as they fled with the cash.

He said: “Two guys burst into the shop and I didn’t really notice at first but then I looked properly and saw these lads with guns.

“One guy had a gun pointed at me, the second person had a gun pointed to my friend.

“I froze, I was in complete shock. I couldn’t really move until my friend who was with me said we’d hand the money over.

“It was a terrifying experience, they were shouting ‘Give us the money or we’ll shoot you, we’ll kill you’.

“They pushed me when I was getting them the money, they were really aggressive.”

The travel agent shop also carries out money transfers to countries across the world.

Shaniur had just carried out some business with clients before the raiders struck so believes they made off with a large amount of money.

He said the robbery had come at a complete shock.

“This is not like the Darnall I know,” Shaniur said.

“I’ve been here for about 20 years and nothing ever like this has happened. People in the community are stunned by what’s happened.

“Loads of people have called me and emailed me about it showing me support. They’re as shocked as I am.”

The robbery happened on Wednesday around 5.30pm.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Officers were called to the shop on Staniforth Road about 5.30pm.

“Two juveniles have been arrested and have now been released on police bail.”
