Give old clothes to recognised charity

ACTION Desk recommends not putting clothing out for collection by Europe Suppliers whose leaflets are being delivered in Sheffield.

The firm says it is a collection company which provides people in Eastern European countries with affordable clothes.

But the council and Charity Commission says you would be better off giving your unwanted stuff to charity.

Meanwhile Georgia Davis, of Wincobank, Sheffield, says she’s received a leaflet from a firm asking for clothing to help Chernobyl victims.

Action Desk printed an investigation into the leaflet by John Cunningham of Shire-green, Sheffield, which found no link to charity.

Georgia said: “It’s disgusting - Action Desk exposed the lack of a link weeks ago.”
