Twenty sixth form girls are to tour a Sheffield food plant this month to find out more about careers in mechanical engineering.
Girls studying maths and science are being chosen to visit the Mondelēz International factory at Owlerton, formerly Bassetts.
The company, which owns brands such as Cadbury, Kenco and Oreo, has put the tour together with Sheffield Hallam University’s Women in Science, Engineering and Technology team.
The students will see high-tech robotics and automation in action and speak to some of the company’s female engineers to find out what their job is really like.
It will also showcase the new food engineering degree at Hallam which has been designed to create recruits for the industry.
