Girl, 15, badly injured in fall from kit car

A SOUTH Yorkshire teenager remains critically ill today after falling from a powerful kit car and being run over.

The 15-year-old girl from Dinnington was the front seat passenger in a red RVDB 5 Eagle travelling along Lakeland Drive, North Anston, when she fell onto the road and her head was caught by the car’s rear wheel.

It has not yet been revealed how the girl came to fall from the car, which was driven by her father, and police are investigating.

It is not believed any other vehicle was involved.

The incident happened around 25 metres north of Langdale Way and left the injured youngster with serious head injuries, described by police as “life threatening”.

She was rushed to Bassetlaw District General Hospital before being transferred to the intensive care unit at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Her condition was today described as “critical but stable”.
