Girey scores hat-trick as Young owls win County FA Cunder-13 Cup

A magnificent hat-trick from Girey Alidu TJ inspired Young Owls to a 5-2 triumph in the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA Under 13s Final at the Scawthorpe Scorpions ground.

Mitchell Clogg and Kieran Patel scored the others with George Collins and Zak Wimpenny getting the Shelley goals.

Young Owls’ manager John Hinde lauded his team’s collective effort and skills.

He said: “They are a very good bunch of lads, no trouble-makers, always work hard, really want to play football, and they really deserve this. We took our goals very well. they wanted to win the game from the start, and they gave 100%.”

He also praised the quality of play from the West Yorkshire side Shelley. “They are a very good team and I can understand why they have got to the final ”
