The popular candle-lit Midnight Walk to raise money to help cancer patients is to return next week.
Doncaster Cancer Detection Trust will stage the walk on Friday, October 25, gathering from 10.30pm at the Keepmoat Stadium, with a fancy dress competition at 11.30pm before walkers will put their best foot forward for the one-and-a-half mile walk around the lake at the Lakeside.
Fundraisers can take part in normal clothes, fancy dress or pyjamas and can bring pet dogs along to join in.
It costs £5 for an individual entry, £10 for a family and £10 for a corporate entry. All walkers are asked to raise sponsorship money for the DCDT.
Carol Spiller of DCDT, said: “Please get a sponsorship form, ask family, friends and colleagues to support you, and head on the walk. Money raised will help people in Doncaster who have cancer.”
Cash will be used to buy specialist equipment to help cancer patients and will support the St John’s Hospice Development Appeal - raising £500,000 towards the £1.8 million redevelopment of the hospice.
