PARENTS and carers will be given a sneak preview of a new nursery before it opens its doors to youngsters.
Ducklings Nursery, due to open in Herringthorpe, Rotherham, in September, will be available to view this Saturday.
The open event forms part of Herringthorpe United Reformed Church’s annual summer fair, which takes place from 11am until 3pm. There will be a balloon race, giant fruit machine and other games and activities.
The nursery will be open to children between the ages of two and five years old and will be run by the church.
Joan Jenkins, who is responsible for overseeing the creation of Ducklings Nursery, said: “Ducklings is an exciting project for the church and we hope that, by coming along to the summer fair on Saturday, parents can find out more about the new nursery.
“We set up the nursery after recognising there is a demand within the local area to provide pre-school care, something which we hope to be able to fulfil. Although Ducklings doesn’t officially open its doors until September, parents can reserve a space for their children now.”
