NOVICE cyclists in the Peak District are invited to a free course on how to safely ride and maintain their bikes.
Pedal Peak District is running the courses every Saturday throughout February.
The cycling skills courses involve practising in a car park and on the Monsal Trail, and the maintenance courses involve learning how to mend a puncture and keep a bike in top condition.
Pedal Ready trainer David Bocking said: “We recommend beginners sign up for the four weeks to get the most from the training.”
Participants need to bring their own bicycle, wear suitable clothing, and be prepared for winter weather conditions.
The courses are based at Hassop Station, near Bakewell. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0114 241 2775 to book a place.
