CYCLISTS are being urged to tackle the hills of the Peak District for a charity challenge.
Action Medical Research is calling on riders to register for the Peak District 100, which takes place on Sunday, June 10.
The event sets off from the HSBC sports club in Dore, Sheffield. Cyclists can complete a 100-mile route taking in Derbyshire and parts of Cheshire and Staffordshire or a shorter 100km route.
Challenging climbs include the back side of Mam Tor, and both routes pass through the Hope and Goyt Valleys and the Derbyshire Dales.
The event is part of the charity’s Ride 100 series of one-day events being held across the UK, raising money for research into conditions such as epilepsy and meningitis.
