WORLDS BIGGEST 5K ON ITS WAY TO SHEFFIELD FOR FIRST TIME

Gung-Ho! will take adults and kids back to the days of Total Wipeout, Fun House and It’s A Knockout when it arrives at Rother Valley Country Park in September.

Teh fun-filled 5k course will see participants clamber over and through giant inflatables, through mazes, over walls and down slides - filled with enough air to inflate more than 75 million footballs.

The brain behind the event is former CBeebies presenter Alex Winter, who came up with the idea whilst watching an episode of Ninja Warrior back in 2014.

Alex said: “I grew up watching some of the great, classic TV shows of yesteryear, like Fun House, It’s a Knockout and Gladiators. Like many others I dreamed of taking part in something like that, but never got the chance. Now I am giving the people of Sheffield the chance to roll back the years and act like a kid again!

“This will be a day out like no other. Anybody of any shape or size will be able to get round the course and we guarantee they will have an absolute blast in the process. We promise fun, thrills and spills for everyone.

“This will be our fourth year of touring, and we’ve added new obstacles to make sure the course is as fun as it can be.”

Thousands of pounds are expected to be raised by people taking on the course for charity throughout 2018, at 22 venues across the country.

Visit www.begung-ho.co.uk for details of how to get one of 5,000 tickets currently available for the Sheffield event, on Saturday September 8. Participants must be at least 4ft.
