George Galloway to speak at Chesterfield EU rally
Former MP and broadcaster George Galloway is to speak at an anti-EU rally in Chesterfield.

Mr Galloway – who is leader of the Respect party and appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006 – will talk at the event at Chesterfield library from 7pm on Monday, June 20.
Members of the public will go to the polls on Thursday, June 23, in an historic referendum to decide whether Britain should leave or remain in the EU
Labour Leave activist Gary Matthews said “This is a real coup for Chesterfield.
“George is acknowledged as one of the best speakers around and with only a few weeks to go before the historic referendum this is a great meeting to attend especially if you are undecided. All are welcome.”

Anti-EU campaigners believe Britain is being held back by the organisation, which they say imposes too many rules on business and charges billions of pounds a year in membership fees for little in return. They also want Britain to take back full control of its borders.
Those campaigning for Britain to stay in the EU say it gets a big boost from membership – it makes selling things to other EU countries easier and, they argue, the flow of immigrants, most of whom are young and keen to work, fuels economic growth and helps pay for public services.
