Gear up for a wheely good time at Misterton bike ride

Cyclists are gearing up for an annual evebt in Misterton, enjoyed by young and old alike.

The ‘Give it to the charity of your choice’ sponsored bike ride takes place on Sunday May 18.

Open to individuals, families and teams, the event will starting at participants ‘locals’, at noon, seeing them complete a ten or 15 mile circuit.

Organiser Dougie Wright said: “The route is start at your ‘local’ and cycle clockwise until you get back to where you started. You do not have to call at every establishment.

“All children must be supervised and small children will be safer riding on the path. Please observe road safety, and try to wear a helmet.”

He said the following businesses have kindly agreed to provide refreshments along the route for the youngsters who are participating:

Surestart Centre, Old School, High Street - which will be the main starting point for people travelling from further afield.
