Gary Hooper's Sheffield Wednesday future could be resolved this week
Hooper signed off his loan spell at Hillsborough in style, hitting a second half double in their victory over Yorkshire neighbours Leeds United.
The former Celtic forward has returned to Carrow Road, having bagged six goals in 13 Owls appearances, including four in his last two outings.

Hide AdThe Star understands Wednesday are currently locked in talks with the Canaries but have yet to reach an agreement on a fee.
Hooper said: “I want to stay, I like it here. It’s a good squad and we’re winning games. I’m scoring goals and playing games. I’m happy here and we’ve just got to see what happens now.”

Hide Ad“I’m an optimist about the situation because the player likes to be here and enjoys the way that we play,” he said.
“I don’t get involved in money or agents. With this, it’s in the hands of the chairman.”
Norwich boss Alex Neil added: “I would expect some news about that in the next couple of days or so.”
Fernando Forestieri will be assessed by medical staff after leaving the ground on crutches. The forward has been nursing a knee problem.

Hide AdMeanwhile, Wednesday have been linked with Everton’s Aiden McGeady, though the winger reportedly wants to remain in the Premier League. It is believed that Nottingham Forest and Leeds United are also interested in the Republic of Ireland international.
