A DERBYSHIRE garden run by the National Garden Scheme is to open for the first time on Sunday.

A one-acre naturally-planted artists’ garden featuring a geranium-carpeted orchard, vegetable plot, hidden sculptures and an artist’s studio will be open at Cherry Hill, The Edge, off the Nook in Eyam from midday until 5pm.

Admission is £3 for adults and free for children.

Home-made teas are available and all proceeds go to the National Gardens Scheme charities, which include Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
