SHEFFIELD-based Football Unites Racism Divides is to host its first Football Film Festival later this month.

October marks Black History Month and, from October 18 to 29, FURD is hosting three screenings, all free. On Friday, October 19, from 7pm, at U-Mix Centre, Asline Road, Sheffield they will show Zanzibar Soccer Queens, followed by a question and answer session with the film’s director Florence Ayisi.

On Thursday, October 25, at 6pm, at the Showroom Cinema in Paternoster Row, Africa United will be screened, followed by free food and discussions with guest speakers.

And on Sunday, October 28, at 6pm, at The Void Film Theatre, Owen Building, Howard Street, The Arthur Wharton Story will be shown.
