Thank you for the coverage and support of our Funny Business fundraising event at the Memorial Hall at Sheffield City Hall.

The event was a terrific success, deservedly won by Jaqui Copley who swapped her workwear for a onesie, leopard print catsuit and knee-high boots as she took to the stage to be crowned champion of comedy.

She beat off the challenge of seven other leading South Yorkshire business personalities as they attempted stand-up comedy for Funny Business, which raised £13,000 – not £30,000 as reported in The Star on November 8 – and was organised by Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity in association with the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). We will be shortly announcing details of next year’s event – so watch this space.
