CHRISTMAS has never been funkier for the residents of Brunswick Gardens Retirement Village.
People in Woodhouse were enthralled by youngsters from Funky Dance Fever who popped along to entertain them with a razzle-dazzler of a Christmas show.
The class, which is taught by sisters Amy and Jo Burton, strutted their funky stuff in bright orange and purple costumes.
And their routine certainly brought a splash of colour to the village’s bar and function area, which was packed with party-goers keen to see the show.
Dancing to a selection of Christmas tunes, the girls gave the residents a Funky festive performance for the second year running - and the crowd loved it.
Dance teacher Amy said the girls enjoyed performing as much as the audience did watching.
She said it has been a great year for the youngsters.
Amy said: “We are proud of the Funky Dance Fever girls for working hard this year.
“We have been successfully raising money for a range of charities, including Comic Relief, Weston Park Cancer Charity, most recently Children in Need and many more.
“Performing at Brunswick Gardens was a great way to end a Funky fantastic year.”
Funky Dance Fever classes teach a mix of disco, jazz, street and contemporary dancing to the latest funky chart tunes.
Classes are held at Sam Jones Health Club, Drake House Retail and Leisure Park, for children aged six to 16. For more information, call Amy on 07956 941 414.
