Fundraising team raise £4,000 for cancer charity
A team of fundraisers from Rotherham have taken on a walking challenge from Sheffield to Flamborough Head, to raise cash for Cancer Research UK.
The four ladies, who call themselves ‘Gallant Women Bruised Hooves,’ raised over £4,000 on the 85-mile walk, which they handed over to the charity this week.
Alexa Wortley, Hester Russell, Sarah Martin and Sharon Bradford - who all work at GWB Harthill Solicitors in Sheffield - decided to attempt the challenge having all lost close family and friends to cancer.
Alexa said: “It was worth every step if we can in help in some way to fight this cruel disease.”
