Fun day set to go ahead

FUN is back on the calendar after the floods washed away the summer laughter.

Treeton Sports Fun Day has been re-organised for tomorrow, midday-5pm at the Cricket Club in Washfield Lane.

Community Capacity Officer, Mick Fellowes, said: “We will be hosting a football tournament, cricket skills, golf skills, live music, bouncy castles, barbecue, free jive lessons, demonstrations and much more.

“All proceeds from the day will go to straight to the sports groups involved to provide much needed assistance.”

The day is being supported by Treeton Parish Council, Treeton Cricket Club and councillors from Rother Valley West.
