Fun day back on after rain

Have your say

A PANTOMIME animal race will be one of the star attractions of the rescheduled Ruskin Park Fun Day in Walkley on Saturday, September 15.

The comedy steeplechase features its own version of the Grand National’s infamous Becher’s Brook fence.

Art in the Park will be on hand to provide hobby-horse workshops for anyone who wants to make their own costume.

Other entertainment organised by The Friends of Ruskin Park will include music, a bouncy castle, a climbing wall, face painting, football, guitar demonstrations, Chinese calligraphy and bee-keeping advice.

The Fun Day was originally scheduled for July 7 but fell victim to waterlogging.
