Fun and games at Multicultural Fun Day

Have your say

GETTING to know your neighbours and learning to play a few games along the way...

That’s exactly what was going on at Newfield Green Tenants’ Hall in Sheffield when people from the area came together.

Young and old gathered to celebrate a Multicultural Fun Day.

Terry Wright, chairman of the tenants’ and residents’ association, said: “It was a great day with well over 100 people turning up.

“We had day of games, some of which had been brought along by some of the people who have moved to the area from other countries.

“It was a good way of getting to know them and their cultures.”

Visitors enjoyed a whole host of games, including a board game originating from Ghana, a new game called Leopards and Cows, Jenga - and good old-fashioned Twister.
