SHARROW’S Old Junior School is hosting a Big Tea event – which will bring ‘1950s’ fun and frolics’ to the Sheffield area.

The event is on Sunday, October 7, from noon until 3pm at the building, on South View Road. Entry is £2 each or £5 per family.

A spokesman for the organisers, Creative Action Network and Blend, said: “Along with cakes, crafts and entertainment, there’ll be magic tricks, apple bobbing and a chance to make scones and biscuits.

“All this with live entertainment and our 1950s musicplaying in the background to help people get into the swing of things.”

Organisers are also appealing for donations of 1950s-style cakes, crafts or music, or volunteers to provide entertainment. Email creativeactionnetwork@googlemail.com if you can help.
