North Sheffield is preparing to welcome the region’s biggest bike race this weekend which will finish in Stocksbriodge on Sunday afternoon.
Thousands of people are expected to line the route and head on to the town to see the 2017 race winner receive the coveted Tour de Yorkshire Trophy.
Events will be taking place along the South Yorkshire stretch with entertainment in Bolsterstone, Penistone and in Stocksbridge on Manchester Road and the finish line at Fox Valley shopping centre.
Roads closed on Sunday - Sheffield
A 'soft' road closure which will allow access for residents and businesses under steward control, will be in place on Manchester Road, between the junctions of Unsliven Road and Carr Road, from 5am on Sunday, April 30.
• A 'hard' road closure will then be in place along Manchester Road between the above same junctions from 3pm until 8pm.
• Further “hard” closures will be along the race route, also labelled the Stocksbridge Loop, from 4.30pm – 5.30pm, meaning no access at all will be possible.
This will affect the following roads:
Salter Hill Lane
People living within the area bounded by these roads will not be able to cross over the race route during this time.

8.55am – Sportive riders start arriving back to Fox Valley
2.10pm – Grimethorpe Colliery Band performance
3.00pm – RAF Dakota flypast
3.30pm – Children’s Parade at Fox Valley
4.10pm – Publicity Caravan arrives at Fox Valley
4.15pm – Grimethorpe Colliery Band performance
4.30pm – The Stocksbridge Sprint on Manchester Road
4.40pm – Race reaches Cote de Deepcar
4.45pm – Race reaches Cote de Wigtwizzle
4.50pm – Race reaches Cote de Ewden Heights
4.55pm – Race reaches Cote de Midhope
5.05pm – Winner of the pro race expected to arrive at Fox Valley
5.15pm – Trophy presentation and press conference
5.30pm – Grimethorpe Colliery Brass Band perform Jerusalem
6.00pm – End of event
