Fruit and veg competition
TICKHILL Horticultural Society stages its 20th annual show in the schoolroom at Tickhill Methodist Church, Northgate, next Saturday.
The event will be opened officially at 2.30pm by Roy Taylor, from Taylor’s of Tickhill, and will see exhibits in a wide range of classes including flowers and plants, veg, fruit, baking, preserves and handicrafts.
There will also be a budding gardeners competition for youngsters. Entries in all classes are open to Tickhill Horticultural Society members, Tickhill residents, or members of a Tickhill-based society or club.
The presentation of trophies will take place at 4pm, followed by a sale of produce.
