Two friends from Sheffield are holding a coffee morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Sheridan Leigh, aged 24, from Grimesthorpe, and Laura Hargreaves, 26, from Darnall, are hosting the coffee morning in honour of Laura’s grandmother Betty, who passed away earlier this year.
Sheridan said: “Betty has been doing the mornings for more than 20 years, but passed away earlier this year. We wanted to carry on the tradition in her memory.”
The pair held a similar event last year which raised £600 and are hoping to raise £800 this year, with donations for raffle prizes from businesses from around city.
The event is in the Huntsman dining room at the Northern General Hospital, Fir Vale, from 11am to 2pm, on Friday, September 27.
