You could take the sensible approach to the Three Peaks Challenge and walk your way to the highest points in England, Scotland and Wales… or you could run!

Friends Matt Hobbs and Rob Bridges decided they were going to take the tougher route to conquering Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis on one of the hottest days in living memory, with scorching temperatures of up to 30 degrees.

Matt, 22, of Stannington, embarked on the Three Peaks adventure to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice, where his grandmother, Vera Crownshaw, was a patient in 2011.

Robb, 24, from Manchester, joined him in raising £500 for St Luke’s - which will also benefit from a 112-mile bike ride in the Lake District they’re planning for September.
