Fresh police appeal after OAP, 82, injured in hit and run

Police investigating a hit-and-run crash which left a mother of eight injured are still hunting the female driver.

Kathleen Toulson, aged 82, of Burncross, was struck by a silver Ford Fiesta at the junction of Taplin Road and Middlewood Road in Hillsborough on April 26.

She was left badly bruised and shaken by her ordeal after being thrown across the bonnet.

The driver is believed to have been a middle-aged white woman with a white female passenger.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Police have not yet traced the driver of a silver car believed to have been involved in the hit and run collision on Middlewood Road on Friday, April 26.

Enquiries are ongoing and police continue to appeal for information.
