Fresh appeal over Doncaster railwayman’s death

Detectives from British Transport Police are appealing for help to trace a man who was captured on CCTV near to where a Doncaster railman was hit by a train last month. Officers investigating the death of Network Rail worker John ‘Rob’ Wright, who was struck by a train outside Newark station, believe the man may have information which could assist their investigation into the 49-year-old’s death.

Mr Wright, from Scawsby, was hit by a train at 11.39am on Wednesday, January 22, and died later in hospital after being taken by air ambulance.
