French flavour for marathon fundraising man and wife

Have your say

A husband and wife duo added some ooh-la-la to fundraising by taking on the Paris Marathon.

Michael and Joyce Lee ran the 26.2 mile race around the streets of the French capital in support of Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity’s ‘Do Your Bit’ campaign.

Michael, a specialist physiotherapist and sports scientist at Mi To Therapy in Sheffield, and wife Joyce, inspired by her own mum’s cancer battle, raised £800 - bringing the total raised by Mi To Therapy to £2,300.

Tina Harrison, acting deputy director of the cancer charity, said: “Thanks to Michael and Joyce for their support. Every penny raised helps us to provide the very best levels of treatment and care for people living with cancer which, sadly, will affect one in three people during their lifetime.”
