Free walk to discover Sheffield’s heritage tales

Have your say

Tales of Victorian murder and mayhem in Sheffield will be revealed on a heritage tour.

Called Outrageous, the walk around Sheffield on Friday explores the stories of when trade unions attacked machinery and people to stop firm owners cutting wages and when a Sheffield newspaper editor carried a gun.

The heritage walk, which starts at 1pm from Fitzalan Square, is the last free one being run in conjunction with Activity Sheffield.

It is organised by group Now and Then, which aims to run more in future.
