Free soccer buses are just the ticket for drivers

Rotherham United has presented two free season tickets to South Yorkshire bus company First to be used by its staff.

The gesture is a thank you to the company which operates a free travel service for Millers’ fans at home games.

Fans can travel to and from the Millmoor ground free of charge two hours before and two hours after a match, providing they produce a supporters’ club membership card.

A club spokeswoman said: “The service is very much appreciated by fans, especially those who don’t want to take their cars to matches.

“These season tickets mean that the bus drivers can enjoy watching a game.”
