Free parking in the city centre and most district shopping centres from 2pm for the three Saturdays before Christmas is being offered this year.
On Saturday 10, 17 and 24 December shoppers can park for free after 2pm in all Sheffield City Council parking spaces in the city centre and in the permit parking zones.
Maximum stay periods will still apply and drivers are asked to check signs and observe any local restrictions.

Councillor Mazher Iqbal, the Council’s Cabinet Member for Infrastructure and Transport, said: “The city centre will have so much going on over the festive season, including the well-established Christmas markets on Fargate, the visiting THORS Viking tipi bar in the Peace Gardens, and a programme of festive family events happening in the Moor market, this offer will give people even more reason to come into the city and enjoy festivities.”
In Fargate, the Christmas markets and Sleigh Bar is open from 10am to 6pm daily, and will also be open for late-night shopping until 8pm each Wednesday in December.
As well as traders from across the UK and Europe selling a variety of gifts, jewellery, crafts, the market includes a huge range of refreshment stalls selling hot food and drinks.
The Moor Market, fast becoming an even busier part of the city centre as more businesses move in, also offers a selection of fresh produce and gifts for everyone.
It opens Mondays to Saturdays between 8am and 5.30pm, but will also be open on Sunday 18 December from 10.30am to 4pm.
