Free regional art competition for under 16s

A free art competition for children aged 16 and under has been launched in the region by Wales Art Group.

The subject for the artwork must be on the theme of ‘I like...’ and all entries will be displayed in an exhibition in Kiveton and Wales Village Hall, from September 30 to October 2.

The competition will be judged by a team of professional artists and winners will be chosen in four different age categories - 0-4, 5-8, 9-12 and 13-16.

There will also be a ‘People’s Choice’ winner, as voted for by visitors to the exhibition, and a series of runner-up prizes.

The closing date for entries is September 1. 2016
