A woman and three men have been charged after an investigation into human trafficking and modern day slavery in Sheffield.

They were arrested after homes were raided in Page Hall on Wednesday morning.

COURT: 'Dangerous' Rotherham man jailed for 25 years for sex attacks on childrenJan Skop, 44 and Lydia Skopova, 35, both of Kirton Road, Pitsmoor, have each been charged with nine offences under the Modern Slavery Act, the Fraud Act and Identity Documents Act.

They have both been remanded into custody to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday, May 31.

Shafiq Uddin, 39, of Pye Bank Road, Pitsmoor, has been charged with four offences under the Modern Slavery Act and Fraud Act and is bailed to the same day.

The charges relate to alleged offences committed between August 2015 and February 2017.

A 39-year-old man arrested on suspicion of offences under the Modern Slavery Act has been released under investigation.
