A South Yorkshire man jumped to his death from the top of a car park, an inquest heard.
Craig Spencer, aged 30, of Cumberland Drive, Ardsley, Barnsley, plunged six floors from the Alhambra Shopping Centre on to Wesley Street in Barnsley town centre, last August.
He sustained multiple injuries and could not be revived.
Detective Superintendent Stuart Hall, who investigated the death, told the inquest the fall was captured on CCTV cameras.
“He looked over the side of the car park and he then seemed to climb over the restraining wall and almost immediately fall to the ground.
“The manner of the climbing over the wall would suggest the fall was not an accident. We were able to rule out any foul play in Craig’s death.”
Assistant Coroner Siobhan Kelly recorded a verdict of suicide.
