The 46-year-old keeper was called into action after 15 minutes following an injury to Alex Lynch - and went on to keep a clean sheet in his first league match since April 2002.

Gozie Ugwu scored the only goal of the game in the third minute for a win which prevented the second-placed hosts going back to the top of the table.
