Football to help unite people

AN ALL-NATIONS football tournament is to be held in Sheffield over the weekend to highlight the power of the sport to unite.

The event, at the The University of Sheffield’s Goodwin Sports Centre in Broomhill, brings together refugees and those seeking asylum in Sheffield for an annual football tournament.

It has been hosted by Sheffield-based charity Football Unites, Racism Divides and the Sheffield and Hallam County FA, to create understanding between different communities and help those who have fled troubled countries feel at home in Sheffield.
