WHAT would Millers legendary hard man Guy Branston have made of it?
Rotherham captain and big, raw-boned centre half Ryan Cresswell having a facial?
Of all the things you imagine you might see in Mexborough on a Friday morning, that wasn’t one of them.
But there he is lying back, getting the full facial treatment from Gentry stylist Claire.
It can’t have done him any harm. Last Saturday’s start against Hereford was Ryan’s first in six months after being sidelined with an ankle injury. Millers won and Ryan almost scored.
“I have been coming here for a while now,” said 24-year-old Ryan, originally from Swinton.
“I get my head shaved here and I have a regular shave occasionally too. It’s really relaxing.”
The Gentry also gets a few other celebrity customers.
Macclesfield Town and former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Matt Hamshaw, comedian Paul Shane, and a couple of Emmerdale characters.
“People come here because we are good and they like the atmosphere, money can’t buy that,” said The Gentry owner Andrew Madin.
