Football fans to run 76 miles

SIX Liverpool FC fans plan to run from Sheffield Wednesday’s football stadium back to their club’s Anfield ground to raise cash for the Hillsborough Justice Campaign and the Families Support Group.

They will start at the Leppings Lane end of Hillsborough stadium, where 96 football fans were crushed to death in April 1989 when Liverpool played Nottingham Forest in an FA Cup semi-final, on Thursday, April 12, and aim to finish the 76-mile run three days later - the 23rd anniversary of the tragedy.

Runner Earle Jackson thanked Sheffield Wednesday for opening up its stadium.
